Bbc gossip (thanks to the daily mail) report we have had a loan deal turned down for David villa they want 16 million for him why not pay it better then Sturridge don't get me wrong want him to do well for us but with coke going that will open up a lot of money on wages.
Just want to see what others think also Alonso so want him back rather then him go to Chelsea as lampards replacement
Why not spend

no guarantees Cole is gone until its confirmed, i'm not getting my hopes up just yet on that one.
like to see Villa here but surely he will have better options available to him, and Sturridge is a lot younger and proven in Prem.

Sturridge has prem experience, but he hasn't really proved much.

We need come gone and he should do the right thing and walk he has had enough money from us.
And think you maybe right with villa think he will go arsenal/Chelsea and Sturridge as I said hope he does well but seems a little selfish and not sure that will work to well with Suarez

The David Villa of 5 years ago, in a heart beat! The David villa of 31 years of age and hasn't played to much since returning from a broken leg? No thanks!

Villa ever since he went to Barca has been average-above average. No where near the player he was.

I'd take Villa in a heartbeat but not for £16m.
A loan would be perfect.
In other news the telegraph are saying we are likely to get Gameiro on loan with a view to a permanent move in addition to the Sturridge deal. That would give us a strike force of Gameiro, Sturridge, Suarez and Borini.
I'd be very happy with that.
