Judging by comments and attidues over the past few days and the erratic behaviour of United players at the start of the Old Trafford game last season (when Evra smashed into Ferdinand), is there a danger of United losing focus?
Fans will be more interested than Suarez than their own players possibly and there is a chance that they go into the game with more to lose.
Is this in any way to be in Liverpool's favour?

Tough game of course.
Are United in danger of losing focus?

A little push....
As long as it wasn't a big push its okay. Its also okay because Ryan Giggs was nuts deep in some bird who wasn't his wife...

In big games like this we are much tighter and hopefully dont concede.

The fixture is due a draw so my money is on that for Sunday

I can't remember the last time we drew at home, and we've only drawn 1 all season, so I don't think I'd put money on that

Newcastle last season wasnt it, we battered them aswell

Even since Liverpool last won the league, we’ve been in at least a dozen Cup Finals.
“Our Cup Final” would therefore tend to be....er....a Cup Final. Rather than....er.....a league match.
If you speak to any of the old-timers (including my Dad), this fixture never used to be particularly big, until about the late 70’s/early 80’s.....even when United were winning the EC.
It wasn’t even all-ticket. The only all-ticket game was the derby against Everton (and that wasn’t poisonous, either...it was known as the “friendly derby&rdquo. During the EC finals in the 70’s/80’s, Liverpool fans sang “Are you watching, Nottingham?”....no mention of United.
It’s not going to happen, but I wish we could get back to that, tbh. I’m as passionate about football, and my club, as anybody else, but I really don’t understand the poisonous stuff. It’s tiresome, and depressing. Those people who sing about tragedies could do us all a favour and get a life.

I would'nt have thought any of that will have any bearing on sundays game, united need to win to maintain the gap at the top and liverpool need to win to try and close the gap on the sides above them, i fully expect a home win.

its true, and the exact opposite of the 80´s when I will admit that beating Liverpool was all that mattered in any one season.

But you're implying there that beating Man Utd is all that matters for us this season. Which of course would be nonsense.

Worst thing about that tackle was what Gerrard did after, over-hitting his pass through to Suarez!
If he'd gone on and scored that would have really made the Evra-Ferdinand smash funnier.
