We have a fair few attacking options, so buying isn't really an option.

Gervinho, Arshavin, Vela or Miyaichi (WP permitting) on the left, Walcott is not definitely out, Gervinho or Vela can play up front.

To be honest we have better options compared to the start of the season last year.

I think we will be fine for the qualifiers but for season we need at least a LB and CB (Cahill or Samba).

I would be overly worried if Chamakh were to lead the line in the first leg.
This guy is anything but a striker. He will look to pass the ball even two yards from goal.
IMHO,signing a striker in this window is as imperative as a centre half

I'm no fan of Chamakh, but I cannot see Wenger signing an out and out striker with RvP, Chamakh, Gervinho, Walcott and Vela available.
More likely he will sign an attacking midfielder!

Agree with T that we need a CB, but again I cannot see us signing a LB with Gibbs and Traore in the squad. Similarly, I don't think either is ready and would prefer a new LB, but I don't sense Wenger feels the same...
