at least 12 killer whales are trapped in ice in northern canada. coverage is needed in order to get ice breakers to the area to help to free the whales before their only breathing hole ices over.

I dont get it, first we are causing gobal warming and melting the ice caps, now its our fault its freezing over?

i think they were saying that the whales wouldnt have normally been able to get to where they were because there would normally have been more ice.
