Great progress from the Brit girls

So Heather and Laura both bow out in 3rd round of first Slam of year and are now at career high rankings:

It might feel a bit disappointing that they've 'only' made the 3rd round, such is the expectation on their young shoulders at the moment, but this time last year Watson had gone out in first round carrying an ankle injury and Robson had to come through qualifying and went out in first round, so fantastic progress for both girls this last year.

With quite a long gap before the next Slam there is plenty of potential to pick up more ranking points and hopefully some titles too.

Fingers crossed they shake off their current niggling injuries and continue their moves up the world stage.
