We should have. Still I'm not too bothered about that as he's at Celtic he kept on throwing them in the back of his net in pre-season big Fras. Wanted first team football fair enough good attitude.

Butland had a shaky start to the season and made a mistake against Cardiff a few weeks back but on the whole has been good this year.

As you say he is still young so will make mistakes but name me a keeper that never makes a mistake? It is just intensified as a keeper.

If you get him for £4 million you have got yourself a bargain but that is the state of the club at the moment. if you did buy him and loan him back to us for the rest of the season I for one would be very happy.

If you have seen sky sports today you will have seen that we are reported to have told several high earners at the weekend that they have to leave as we cannot afford to pay them any more!
