Just listened to Clough's interview on the BBC website, which is usually taken from the BBC Derby post match interview.

Clough sounds bitterly disappointed, and to be fair Ed Dawes asks reasonable questions. I didn't think the manager deflected questions, bar Theo's 'tonsillitis'. He just tried to explain the obvious. You've got a highly talented player, at just 17, who maybe needs a rest up against a midfielder who may be in his mid-thirties but played at the top level until last season.

Clinical finishing also costs. A £8m striker and another who played in Turkey for one of their top teams.

We don't need 3 central MF's... to fudge it with Bryson on the left (or 4-5-1) is poor from Cloughie, I don't understand it - just take the opportunity to rest Hughes and play 4-4-2.

I think Clough did want to win today's match, especially for financial reasons. I did wonder after last weekend if we'd see a few changes but the manager probably went for the team he thought could get a result.

I do think we overrate some of our fringe players & the impact they can make. They are either inexperienced or inconsistent.

Maybe it's time for Clough to reappraise things, maybe give Hughes a rest. I don't think Ben Davies is good enough, but maybe partner him in the centre with Hendrick.

Let's hope Huddersfield don't appoint Nigel Adkins by next week!

Jacobs fit and available, an unfit Bryson in his place and an out-of-sorts Hughes in the middle.. If he needs a rest, why play him mid- week?!!

Clough's even surprising me with his ineptitude.

I have to admit I did wonder why Hughes was picked for the FA Youth cup game. I think now is the time to give the young man a breather.

It's a long season though. We got a good draw against Blackburn in autumn, today shows the luxury of a big squad, experience, some big money signings.

He's so inept it's unreal. This was the first time I've ever left early. I'm slowly falling out of love with the game, I used to have that buzz before the games, but I just dread them now. It's hard seeing smaller clubs above us in the league, showing more ambition.

I'm even contemplating not getting a season ticket for next season, partly because money is tight and I've just booked a blooming safari for next year. Even if I could afford it, I don't know whether I would. There's just nothing to ever look forward to.

I honestly can't see us getting out this division in the next few years. Surely if we finish lower than last year, then it's time for a change? I really want Cloughie to succeed, but I won't hold my breath.
