Team News & Manager Quotes: Man Utd (PREDICTIONS)

De Gea
Rafael, Smalling, Jones, Evra
Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs
Hernandez, Rooney

Subs: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Valencia, Scholes, Van Persie, Kagawa, Welbeck

Ashley Young and Jonny Evans will remain on the sidelines. England winger Young suffered a knee injury against Liverpool a fortnight ago, whilst Evans (hamstring) has not featured since the FA Cup draw at West Ham three weeks ago. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson must decide whether to stick with David de Gea in goal or recall Anders Lindegaard, who took over for the replay win against the Hammers.

Sir Alex Ferguson: “We haven't done as well in the FA Cup for a few years now. It's a cup which has fantastic appeal given our record in it. We have benefit of the home draw. We'll take that any time. It's going to be a challenge for us but we would play anyone at the moment."

Fulham

Fulham midfielder Kieran Richardson will miss the chance to take on former club Manchester United. The 28-year-old suffered a calf injury in last weekend's defeat at Manchester City and will not be fit in time for the game at Old Trafford, although he is likely to return to training next week. Mahamadou Diarra (knee) is not likely to play again for a month whilst Kerim Frei (pelvis) is also absent.

Martin Jol: "I had a few situations, more than one or two, where something happened there. I've never beaten Man United but one or two people will remember that I should have beaten him 1-0 (in 2005). It was unbelievable. But I don't think it's about Alex Ferguson. He is shrewd and good, fantastic, and hopefully he is not having an influence on linesmen and referees. Especially not against us - hopefully."

If you've ever been to OT you'd know that they empty it pretty damned efficiently for 75K people. Probably gets 'em a hefty discount on their public liability insurance, too.

Couldn't believe how many left early today, though. Embarrassing.
