Manchester City and Liverpool played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening, but once again it will be Liverpool who are the more frustrated with the result.
It was a cagey start to the game from both teams, but it was Liverpool who settled quicker and started to control the game. But it was the home side who scored the first goal completely against the run of play.
David Silva released James Milner down the left, and he sent a low ball across goal for Edin Dzeko to tap in.
But just six minutes later, the Reds were level. Dzeko wanted a free kick due to a challenge from Daniel Agger, but referee Anthony Taylor did not give it so Dzeko stayed on the ground while Liverpool attacked. Javi Garcia failed to clear the ball and Steven Gerrard then found Daniel Sturridge, who lashed it into the corner from 25 yards against his former team.
Shortly before half time, a mix-up between Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart almost resulted in a calamitous own goal as Zabaleta hit it back towards his goal as Hart had come forwards. But luckily for them it only resulted in a corner kick.
Liverpool settled early in the second half and threatened once more, and it was the captain Gerrard who deservedly gave the Reds the lead. Gael Clichy cleared the ball straight to Gerrard who chested it, and then unleashed a brilliant effort into the bottom left corner.
But just five minutes later, Pepe Reina played a huge part in City's equaliser. Sergio Aguero was racing forwards but away from goal and Reina came out to try to beat him to the ball. But Aguero took it past him and then brilliantly lifted it into the far corner of the net from a very tight angle.
The rest of the game was end to end, and it finished as a draw. The result means that City are now nine points behind leaders Manchester United, while Liverpool are also nine points off their target of fourth place.

I'm judging him on his overall contribution since he joined us toor.

We couldn't find better than Reina 2 years ago.
We could now, because now Reina isn't very good.
Whether he has lost his mojo and just needs a move or what, I don't know, but he isn't the same keeper and we need to find one that doesn't cost us several goals a season with bad errors.
It can't be that difficult.
All keepers make mistakes, but Reina makes them far too often nowadays. He is now about as good as Westerveld or James in his time with us.
Just too many clangers.

He doesn't want to play for the club, I said it a year ago when it became obvious and when I read his book when he said he wanted to goto Arsenal. His heart isn't in it. He has to be sold in the summer, providing we can get a top quality keeper in as Jones is probably one of the worst players in any position I've ever seen play for the club.

Szezcny and De Gea make more clangers than Reina
Cech was supposedly at fault for one of their goals this weekend.
Reina's been in very good form for months now.
He had a very bad spell in the past but I think now any mistakes drag up that bad patch rather than reflect his current form which on blanace is very good.

Nonsense. Reina is making many errors every game. Not just errors but he isn't saving shots which he would have saved two years ago and these aren't counted as errors. Even the Walcott one, he could have at least put his body in the way but he just stood there as if he was annoyed nobody got a block in.
I've seen him half-heartedly diving and has it in his mind who he's blaming before the goal goes in.
He doesn't want to be here. Sell.

Yes and Man Utd are shipping out De Gea in the summer for Begovic (probably).
Wenger always sticks with keepers, however bad they are.
Cech will probably be replaced by Courtois as No1 next season too.
Don't go overboard on Reina's recent form. He had been better for a few games, that's all.
Certainly not months.

That's the biggest crock you have ever posted!
You can see in his dive he wasn't interested!!
Really, do you always have a Special Brew for breakfast?
