Largehat's perspective rings very true on this one, IMHO

...and OH! for the chance to (once again) revel in the chance of us hittin' the 100 points mark again, as the (very wry) TRR comment eludes too!! . But short of the FA changin' the rules to 10 points for a win, and 5 for a draw, I think we might have to put that one on the back burner for a while yet

I've been in contact with Uncle Phil, firstof. He's on the big mans board you know?

Fingers crossed.

I'm aware of when it was and which version of 606 it was, but do you not think there's a relationship between having an enjoyable time as a fan and having a thriving board full of articles? I do, personally.

I misinterpreted your 'on here' to mean ja606. Thanks for clearing it up in your indomitable style.

I think it should and wished that it did, but history sadly shows that it isn't the case. New article creation rates and comment counts are much higher after defeats and during bad runs.

I guess it is up to us though to collectively reverse that trend.

As LH said there is no cliqueyness in my eyes on this board.
LH put out an invitation for a little drink, and myself and Benny turned out.Now regarding Benny and myself we have been watching the whites play together for 30 years and oddly we do tend to have the same views/opinions on most subjects, thats just maybe the way we have grown up together, non of us are nodding dogs to each other in conversation.
And as LH pointed out our get together only came about as we had a few little rumbles/disagreements on here.We turned up had a chat n a few ales and still found out we didnt agree on many subjects, but Jesus we got on with the night and understood one thing we loved the club.
Maybe a night out is needed for all users,Im up for it.

Never seen a clique on here but there will obviously be times were people back each other up when they agree on something. At that point you have the option to stand your corner.

Not a bad idea. Have to be a Friday or Saturday mind I'm not good at getting up for work after a few beers.

Interesting points raissd

I've always been more of a reader than a poster, but I still read regularly. I just feel I can't really add anything, to what's been said on any given topic.

I might try to post on here a bit more though

Lets organise a night out then eh?.
Think LH who excells as an organiser can arrange it on here.
It makes sense, lets all sit down, neck a few down our gregorys ,it would be a great night.

I'd welcome an opportunity to meet a few more posters, I suspect the best bet (which doesn't take a lot of organisation and doesn't fall flat if people don't turn up) is to meet in Harvesters at midday before a game and then again at 5pm after a game. That way people can come before the game, after the game, or both, thus increasing the chances of people making it.

The other thing to consider is paydays and attractiveness of games. And the weather is a smaller factor. Giving people plenty of notice is important too.

I'd probably say, looking at the remaining fixtures, our best bet is the Wolves game on Saturday 6th April. That's 2 months away I know, but if people have it in the back of their minds, they're less likely to commit to doing other things if they have it in the back of their minds.

That's how I'd approach it anyway.

Thats a good idea LH,or just maybe after the game as many fans may get to the stadium last minute like me sometimes.
A nice atmosphere in Harvesters after a game win or lose.Would be good to get together anyway its organised.
