Chris Foy

Anyone who was at the game - how was the crowd's reaction to the referee that pretty much relegated us last season?

Too true WF. Sorry TRR wrong again

Ha.

I think you've blamed Coyle more than Foy in the last year...

And if you haven't worked out who was to blame for last season more. Coyle or Foy there's no helping you.

We got screwed by Foy on the last day, Mr Cravies. We really don't need to go over Coyle is the devil again you know.

never been a fan of chris foy going back to the day the played on well after time was up to allow dwight yorke to score in the 96th minute plus to make it 2- 2 v blackburn but i thought foy was the best ref we have had all season.these championship refs are so poor in comparison to the premier league ones.

Lets face it Coyle got us relegated last season and had 38 opportunities to achieve it, I hate to admit it but if HWSNBN had been the manager we would still be in the PL. Foy is one of a group of people that prove week in week out that they need replay assistance, not £1200 a game.

I don't think you can say a whole season turns on a single incident even if it falls in the final game. If we had stayed up and QPR had gone down they would quite rightly have pointed to Clint Hill's "goal" at the Reebok. And if our "goal" against Everton at the same end 14 years earlier had been allowed, we might have stayed up instead of them, my life would have turned out completely differently, the UK would have been invaded by the Belgians and all British people forced to speak Dutch but at least I would still be president of the breakaway republic of Romford, safe with all three of my wives in the presidential palace at Gidea Park.

Seriously, if we are in a position on the final day of the season where a refereeing mistake can send us down, I think the blame lies squarely with the other 37 games and 89 minutes.

If the ref had done his job on the final day of the season, we would not have been relegated. That's a fact, surely?

Yes but if the ref had done his job right against QPR and Wolves we would have already been relegated by then.
