Davis - wants to return

Saw this today on sky sports that Davis wants to return.

I was just wondering what fans thoughts are on this given the attitudes shown to naismith, Whittaker and to a lesser extent greegs and laff.

Is it different because he left in the correct way with Southampton paying a fee?

there is a big difference for me with Davis. he was very straight and honest with the fans. he made it clear he had to do the right thing by him and his family. i have no issue with this. he also had his international career to think about.

naismith and whittaker seemed to try and blacken the name of the club and it's owners by blaming a lack of communication etc all the while trying to keep the fans on side when it was obvious to one and all they were only interested in the money.

this pash that naismith continues spout about being a fan and wanting to come back is utter bollox. he made his decision time to live with it

Steven Davis has had his chance and we should be looking to the future. IMHO he was over rated by many. Decent player but not as good as some made him out to be.

Davis is only second to Gavin Rae in being the worse Rangers captain in history!

He can shove it as well, the only way Southampton paid a fee was because they didnt want the hassle of courts n all the rest! He jumped at the first chance he could!

Naismith and Whittaker were the worse of the lot at the time.

Who ever advised them to do that press conference was off their head.

At least guys like McGregor and Davis kept their mouths shut about the whole thing and didnt feel the need to greet about how hard done to they have been on tv.

The only one that thought about the club was Edu. Naismith , Whittaker, Ness,McGregor , Davies etc are not welcome and never will be. Southampton paid us a small amount to avoid court, this was none of Davies' doing, he fled.

he was on football focus first week of the season and said he had discussed the fee with the chairman during transfer negotiations.

The fee mentioned in the article above was £800000. Which is not far off the release clauses they all reportedly had

BTW Lyndsay Herron who works for Rangers says that it was Davis' and his agent who instigated the fee for Southampton to pay and that we have received all the money from Southampton.

I don't believe it.....what chairman's going to pay £800k just cos a player or his agent asks for it ? They may have said that but I just don't see it.
