Respect Rekik

Can't say Parochial Park would have been my preferred destination for a decent young City player to get experience. Still the move has been done and I'm sure he will put in his best effort. I just hope the fans decide to treat him with a bit of respect.

Considering the way you treat your club legends (Colin Hendry and where do you start where Jack Walker is concerned) that's probably unlikely. I've noticed a few of you talking about the golden boy possibly bringing in 2 million if United win the title. Just remember that Rekik can bring in a hell of a lot more if he helps you to promotion. So maybe remember that while you're probably busy cheering for United.

Bit surprised too has the feeded club link with United broken down or did you just run out of players to take?

I hear fan groups putting out "United statements" and "being United" and anything else which basically involves bring bowing down to United. Well Rekik isn't interested in being United.

He's City. When he returns to civilisation at the end of the season he will certainly appreciate that fact.

It will be character building if nothing else I suppose. He will certainly see the contrast between fans. City players treat legends with respect for instance looking at the comparison with Hendry (well maybe not a legend at City but looked back at with respect)

This guy Appleton (former United reserve guess you were running out of 94-95 first teamers to appoint) seems like a very cold individual. I would have preferred someone a bit more inspiring but once again it could be character building.

He will also see the contrast between a great professional like Kompany and a fat slob like Dunn.

Potentially (if Rovers have an unlikely FA Cup run) he could play half as many games as Jones did. If he helps bring promotion at least he will have done something for Rovers to be remembered for. Will he be treated like an idol afterwards if that happens?

Chances are probably not.

Very generous of City to do this you better appreciate it for once.

An absurd article even by your standards Vinjay. Was starting to genuinely worry about your sanity but your replies are slightly more logical and have assured me you still retain some grip on reality.

You're clearly still a Rovers fan though. Not one post on the City board on here, been to a Rovers game this season, still aware of everything that's going on. Some well-meaning advice here, let stuff go and be honest with yourself. You'll get far more out of continuing to support Rovers than you will pointlessly attaching yourself to a random successful club who care as little about you as you do about them.

No need because I hardly ever post here anyway. Little point engaging in any conversation with lying, backstabbing sc.um after all.

That's the problem with the internet makes people more prone to lazy reactions without being in possession of the full facts.
