Hearing this morning that he is to be offered a two year extension. Probably with a pay rise too.

I'm a bit wary about this contract extension, especially as Wenger prefers to discuss his contracts in his final year.

Rather, it tells me that the board are now seriously worried that their star asset, is really considering quitting the club. Whether that's this season or when hs contract is over.

If only we could elect board members

How is it that we are doing the same thing over and over again?

People moaned about Wenger not bringing in experienced players, the transfer policy has changed to bring them in.
People moaned about us not taking the milk cup seriously, we fielded a strong side.
People moaned about us not having a plan B, we have we play less tippy tappy these days, take more shots, and play in more crosses
People always moan about Wenger not making decisive substitutions, well he brought on 3 yesterday, now they moan about that too.
People moaned about letting key players go, we bent over backwards for Walcott and they moan about his high wages
People moaned about players short contracts, we made our youth of our first team sign 5 year contracts
People moaned about not buying a big
centreback, they moan about him being slow
People moaned about having a terrible LB like Santos we brought in a new one
People moaned about not having a creative midfielder we brough in Cazorla
People moaned about Eboue..
People moaned about the ill discipline of Song..
People moan about doing the same thing over and over, well, what is it exactly you want us to do now that hasn't been moaned about and changed over the past few years?

Where do you start??

Tactics? Implemeting the same tactics game after game irrespective of players available or opposition. Being tactically outperformed by inferior opposition time and time again.

Spending policy. Continuing to only spend what AW believes the player to be worth. Mata a recent example. EG For the amount of money wasted on Gervinho and Santos we could have had a world class player.

Players: Insisting on playing players out of position to the determent of the individual. Playing the same players (PL) game after game irrespective of form or fitness.

Spending: Complete mis-management of the club’s resources. Millions wasted on players who are allowed to laze about contributing nothing to the team, and cannot be sold as no other club idiotic enough to pay them a salary close to their Arsenal pay packet. Not spending the resources that are available.

I could go on, and on, and on…

In short the club is in desperate need of change or before long qualifying for the Europa League will be a trophy too.

Meant to comment on the most recent blunder. Playing a weakened side in the sole remaining competition we had a hope of winning, again...
