CaWilCott - Cazorla, Wilshere, Walcott

A trio with so much potential, creativity and goals. Also, a trio that will be vital if Arsenal hope to get a result out of tonight's UCL L16 1st leg v Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.

-Stats (Barclays Premier League 12-13 only)

-Santi Cazorla - -Jack Wilshere -Theo Walcott
Apps = 26 Apps= 16 Apps= 22
Goals =9 Goals = 0 Goals= 11
Assists= 6 Assists= 3 Assists= 8
Shots= 81 Shots= 7 Shots= 58

This shows Jack Wilshere is more productive than Santi Cazorla. The England international has played 10 less Premier League matches than Cazorla but yet has half the assists that Cazorla posses. This also demonstrates that Cazorla pulls the trigger too much (nothing wrong with that).

Cazorla--Wilshere--Walcott
-------------Giroud--------------

I think Olivier Giroud is more of a natural predator than Walcott and his pace can be utilised more in the wing position. I prefer Wilshere more as an attacking midfielder, similar to Steven Gerrard. In central midfield, I'd have Abou Diaby parterning Mikel Arteta.

Wilshere has played over half the amount Santi has, but only has half the assists, surely that's less productive, especially when you consider he has no goals either.

I think if Wilshere had played 26 games in the Premier League, he would certainly be more productive.

But not as much as Santi. So your statement that those figures prove Wilshere is more productive is incorrect.

It is the other way round. Cazorla has played 10 more PL matches this season than Wilshere has. And Wilshere has half the assists.

If Wilshere had played 13 games and had the 3 assists, then he would be AS productive. And that's not including the goals.

As it stands Cazorla is far, far more productive.

I think this guy is a WUM

Wilshere will have to score/assist in 12 goals in 10 games to match what Santi has done.

Thus far he has scored/assisted in 3 goals in 16 games.

What indicates Jack is more productive?

It's clear Santi is more productive. Wilshere isn't a stats player he's a deep playmaker who starts of the attacks. Cazorla is the one usually providing the final ball or if not him then it's either Podolski or Walcott.

Maybe in future Wilshere will improve his stats as he plays advanced role.

It's not all about stats. Anyone who watched the Blackburn defeat would have seen that Jack Wilshere was more effective,productive and in general performed better than Cazorla did.

_______

Agreed, but you used stats to try and prove your point when they clearly disprove it.

Load of nonsense. I constantly see Cazorla threading balls through.
Wilshere is maybe the one that passes him the ball.

This really shouldn't be a discussion.
