Quiet LFC board today. So here is a few Q's

A few questions i'd like to ask of anyone who would like to share.

Are you feeling more positive after Sunday about turning around the disappointing score from Russia?

I am, as long as we score first and the workrate is very high from the team. We will miss the cup tied players but we can do it.

Would you like to see more of Suso? I have been impressed with him and his style is something we havent had a lot of in recent years to compare to. If ever really.

We have a gem in that lad as long as he works hard.

I am a fan of hard work and focus. Luckily so is our very good manager.

Ok.

I hope we get to the point were more than one player is competing for the same position and a poor performance means the other player comes in such as Suso for Downing. Just like the old days.

This situation highlights why we need/needed another striker.

With Sturridge unavailable (and Borini, although he has looked parp) we will have to reverse back to Suarez playing upfront.

Playing Gerrard up there is madness. He lacks the pace an energy to play that position. I agee with Doc, play Suso as an AM behind Suarez, with Gerrad and Lucas in central midfield, with Sterling and Downing as the wide players.

Can see it being just like that with Henderson instead of Suso although I would like to see Suso play. Henderson showed a lot of improvement a fortnight ago and then everyone blew it vs West Brom.

Throughout the history of football, players far slower than Gerrard have played upfront. Suso isn't ready, he's lightweight, gets thrown around and has done nothing to suggest he should play in such an important game we need goals in. Henderson could be a good shout though.

In fact Gerrard is faster than Suarez, Giroud, Van Persie and various other players who play upfront.

If the ~Henderson who played vs Norwich, Arsenal and City turns up he could be a gem for us on Thursday.

I said pace and energy toor. I just can't envisage Gerrad playing as the main striker at this stage of his career. it's mentalist talk.

Henderson is the probable option behind Suarez.

I'm not saying he should be a striker playing on the shoulder of a defender dribbling past him with pace or running onto a through ball, I'm saying play him there so he can be patient, holding the ball whilst the players move up as a system, which we can't so when Suarez plays the role. It's not about who plays best there, it's about who allows the TEAM to play best.

Gerrard is best moving forward with the ball though toor. IMO holding the ball up isn't his strength. When he played in behind Torres he was always at his most effective running onto the ball or driving forward with it.

Playing in a deeper role now he's best suited moving the ball forward with a pass and creating something.

Basically he's better facing the opposition goal.

Sorry, I just don't see this as a viable option because a forward player has to at least give a threat in behind otherwise things become all too predictable for the defenders.

Gerrard not a threat?
