Its very pleasing to read Hounds account of Lundstrum. It sounded as though we may have a decent midfield now.

BF took a lot of criticism for brining kids in even before the critics saw them play.
All I will say to the knockers is just give BF and the kids time to gel. We are 1 point off the top and it is still all to play for. Try thinking before you decide to hang them.

I wouldn't listen to the Managers view on the game on RP

right now because he appears to be speechless!!!!!!!!!!!

Lot better, with a couple of exceptions though.!!!
Paynter and Woods making another howler from the ball floated over RJ's head. Before you jump down my throat, I thought he was dealing with crosses better at Crawley. I am allowed constructed criticsm.

Jake Cassidy is not even on the bench for Wolves today.
I would like to BF go for him under the special relationship terms we have with them.

I should add, as i have knocked him a fair bit this season, i thought Quinn had his best game in a Rovers shirt yesterday. Probably my MoM. Well done lad, hope you can keep it up!

Pegdog, i obviously dont know where you sit in the ground.
I sit almost behind the goal in the south stand.
For their goal, the ball was one of those free kicks which drop in a spot that the keeper is unsure about whether to go for or wait to see what touches it gets.
The ball went over the defenders heads and he went late for it and misjudged how high the ball bounced.
He seemed to be stretching for it but couldnt get hold.
Yes, it was a howler but all keepers make them and to be fair he hasnt had more than a couple all season.
I was in the "get a new keeper" camp at the start of the season but i have changed my mind, he will do for me.

Hound I disagree about the ball dropping in a spot that a keeper is unsure about. A top keeper should command and dominate his six yard box. That area is sacred for a goalkeeper and controling it produces confidence in the defenders.

Woods is a young and improving keeper, but Butler must address this weakness in his game if he wants to move to the next level.

There is no malice in my criticism, I am just trying to give an honest opinion.

That is fair enough but i was just giving my version of what i saw.
All players make mistakes though, even the most experienced.
Look at what Jamie Carragher did the other night against Zenith and he has played at the highest level for a long time.
Rob Jones did a similar thing ten minutes from time to let a Yeovil player in on goal but Woods bailed him out by making the player rush his shot by coming out to his feet very quickly.
