They lost more than 12 million last year, are likely to be losing around 20 million this year given the FACT that they keep having to pay off managers at the rate of one every 3 months and have a side consisting of loanees on Premier League wages - and with FFP kicking in, next year they could be staring a points deduction in the face unless they sort their sorry financial act out - or make it to the Promised Land.

Forest's rush for promotion explained...

They found a style that meant they were able to beat sides with bigger resources.
And did it with three different managers
Kudos the swans

£30 mil spent by Billy, That is pure guess work!
I doubt very much that he spent anywhere near that figure.

Other than that, I agree with you about the PL. Even getting out of the Championship is now a costly business as seen by Leicester, yourselves under Doughty (£30m spent under Billy's first tenure),

Kudos the Swans indeed. But we cannot all rely on following that 'magic' formula.

I think Nigel Doughty's debt, or the money he spent, burgeoned from like £30m from L1 & promotion to £75m upon his death. So, clearly the debt increased during the time in the Championship. Yes, Sutton?
Or to put it bluntly, that £20k pw you pay Kris Boyd was money well spent, wasn't it?

I like the way Swansea found a style. That's why the transition at Swansea went seamless, they looked for coaches comfortable working with this style/formation.

Why not? If you know how to use the ball technically & tactically, you will win more games than you lose. It boils down to coaching and having the patience to develop players or bring in the right players at reasonable prices & Swansea have exploited the Spanish market and its current problems.

The debt, if you can really call it that. Was bigger than that when we went down to league 1. If we're counting the money ND put in as being spent by the manager I'd imagine Calderwood "spent" as much anyone.
Debts ND took on and what Platt wasted is probably £30m+ We had about 10 managers between platt and Billy. Fair to say none made a profit

Capn, We have been losing money year after year, long before Billy turned up. Billy never spent anywhere near £30 mil, even if you include wages.
Billy stopped the club losing several million £'s possibly more by keeping us up in his first half season.
