D'Arcy looking almost certainly to not make any of the WC warm-up games. due to ankle surgery.
And when he returns... hes gona be way off the pace for the WC.
Enter Fergus McFadden! and to be fair im a big fan of young Ferg, also it guarantees Trimble a place who is also a handy player in the centre.
Looking at our options im reasonably sure we can cover the loss of D'Arcy.

McFadden
Fitzgerald
Earls
Wallace (paddy)
All play inside centre with Trimble being the front runner for the vacant spot. While Fergus McFadden or Luke Fitzgerald will run out in the 11 jersey. Plenty of permutations any which way.
Tho thats not the way i would play it, its the options we have available.

PdV - no I dont buy it either - Im mighty interested in the SA home games - especially the Oz one cos I would imagine he feels more confident with that one (depending on the tour parties of course) - if he doesnt put out his strongest side for that game I would be very worried from a bok point of view - both for Morale and as you said the other day ding - game time
Rees is out for Wales - Warbuton is captain - Im expecting a big win for England at home tbh anything else will be very disappointing. I would say that though

Im surprised by some of the names dropped - JSD unlucky - I guess its all over for him now

Can't answer that one... He's a bit of an O'connell when it comes to commitment but does he have a voice? I cant say. ur in a better position to answer that one.
I think Johnson is laying down a marker. Names mean nothing. if ur not good enough ur out. I can only assume that the behind the scenes game has had a bearing on his choice and i guess he's dropped them for the right reasons.
Ye i would be putting my money on England by 10+ points v wales, but it does depend on the teams selected so we wait and see.
As for D'Arcy. Well i have to be honest. He's been through the mill with a few injuries that last few years. he had an indifferent 6n's and at times a bit shocking....
Trimble came in for the england match and was excellent but was playing on the wing (11)
He plays regular rugby at 12 in ulster, and the his bulk, defensive qualities, hard running paired with BOD could be a match made in heaven. Speed and an extra educated boot in McFadden on the wing, (11) could be a very effective line up.
That said, its untested and this is not the time for testing. I would do it against scotland tho. I think there recent resurgence has proven to be a false dawn. I would expect a comfortable away win..... arrogant... maybe.
Last man i want to see is Paddy wallace. He has some good qualities but he has lacked those in the past year. form has been awful and really i just dont want to see him on the plane.
