Annan thoroughly deserved their win today. Were easily the best team on the park, which leads me onto my point.
Gosh, we really do have some problems. And these need sorted, and sorted soon. There is only one player, Little, who turned up today, and even then he was nothing more than average. The rest were woeful, and its worrying to see such a dejected performance from the side.
The defence, looked as if they had just been introduced to each other 5 minutes before kick off. Not one of them had a good game, Wallace included, which I might add is a recurring theme from him recently. Argyriou can look decent one minute, but then the next he turns into a total bombscare. Not sure whether its confidence related, or just a lack of ability, but he's only there as there is literally no-one else to play there at the moment. Cribari, again can look decent, but then there is times where he is woeful, and truth be told, he should be punted at the end of the season. Hegarty is a decent positioner, but he doesn't have the strength to bully attackers, he needs to hit the gym. I read somewhere that the Arsenal backline, the good one with Adams, Bould etc, trained tethered together, in order to keep their positioning right. Perhaps that is something that should be looked at, because whatever is being done just now, just clearly isn't working.
Midfield, is just terrible. Black has been awful, and Hutton can blow really hot and cold. As for playing Little on the wing, Absolutely no need for it, he should be up top. We definitely miss Macleod in the middle of the pitch, which is shocking to say, considering he's only 18 years old. Naismith, clearly isn't a right winger, so why he is played out on the right, I do not know. Personally, I see a decent player in him if he was to be played in the right position, hopefully we get to see him played up front, or just infront of the midfield, just like the role Shiels plays. Who looked decent in spells, but he's been lacking as well. Although I hope his injury isn't too serious. Looked a bad one from where I was sat. Templeton can also be added into the flatter to deceive book. McKay as well, has been off the boil recently. Time to look to drop him from the squad for a bit methinks.
As for upfront, McCulloch was a wasted jersey I'm afraid. Not due to ability, he is clearly just unfit, and there is no need to aggravate his condition any further. Leave him on the bench, it won't do him any harm, give young Hemmings a chance to prove he's worth a new deal. Or just play Little there. And Sandaza is not a targetman, he needs the ball played to feet!!
Hopefully though this result is the one that finally kicks McCoist up the erse to motivate the team. My patience with him is running pretty thin, and in truth, I wouldn't be upset to see him leave his current role, although keep him in the club in some other capacity. Who to replace him, I'm not 100% sure. I've seen Derek Adams name banded about elsewhere, which would be a decent option. Or dare I say it, Jimmy Calderwood.
I'll give it another season though, once next season is done, if performances are still as bad, then I would give up hope.
One positive I suppose is, there was a wee rumour floating about that Kevin Kyle has retired. So we can all hope that that is true. With Boyd coming back, we don't need 2 lazy strikers, with zero footballing ability. Perhaps we should look into this guy, who is currently a free transfer.

On another note, whoever thinks its a smart idea to walk back into the city centre on a day like today needs a slap.
I tried to geo-checkin as well, but the mobile signal inside Ibrox is appalling.

On another note, whoever thinks its a smart idea to walk back into the city centre on a day like today needs a slap...............bleedin Baltic up in the club deck, I was sitting there like a frozen snotter the whole game with nothing on the park to warm me up. As for the game itself....it has to be one of the worst games I have ever clapped my eyes on. To me, tactics didn't come into it. If a professional football player can't hit a 10 yard pass with any degree of accuracy then the greatest football brain in the world would struggle to get a result. I'm just putting it down to a "Bad Day at Black Rock" day.
