Bipolar fans

What annoys me is the complete overreaction of fans when it comes to us winning and losing. Realise that we are a work in progress and we will not win every game. Also the same goes for when we get a good win, like last week. We can't go overboard and assume that because we get a good win against Spurs top four will follow.

It was a pretty poor performance today, but remember Southampton are in a relegation dogfight and were just simply more up for it today.

It's not going to happen overnight.

I like to analyse each performance as it comes.

For example, after the game against Wigan, I praised the players. After today I shall slate the players as they were poor.

Why is that wrong?

Agree to so.e extent but we knew everton won today ajd we did not turn up. I think that is partly to do with br thinking we could blast our way to a win. Poor showing

You're not a work in progress, you're quite simply gash!

Cannot blame the fans for your team being consistently inconsistent.

blame it on your clown of a supporter got_better who WUMS every club that are way above Liverpool and thinks you will win every game

Although today we were poor we're heading in the right direction.

A new CB is desperately needed. Skrtel was woeful today.

Two defensive changes was partly to blame. Skrtel and Allen in place of Lucas was a bad idea.

It was an awful defensive performance.

Allen was bad

thought Skrtel was fine

The trouble is people get unrealistic expectations when we win a couple.

I can't remember a time when that hasn't been the case to be honest.

I fancied us to win today, but am not surprised we lost, so am not distraught about it.

Some people actually thought we were going to win a load in a row, so when their unrealistic expectations are not met they go mental.

It's like the person on X-Factor who can't sing but whose family keeps telling them they are brilliant. When the judges tell them they are rubbish, they can't cope with it.

Too many people think some of our players are better than they are.

Our squad still needs a fair bit of work on it before we can expect to go on 5 or 6 match winning runs and be truly disappointed when we don't.
