I love Easter. Chocolate, beer, £2 sellotaped to a card from me dear old Nanna, time off work - paid, more televised sport than you can shake a sh-tty stick at.

Nice one Jesus

Send Beckford darn t' pit, oh, no can do, they have all gone!

Send 'im back, biggest waste of space, apart from Vaughan, both have been a major disappointment.

Bit harsh LV......if we achieve safety then we will probably owe Vaughan a debt of gratitude. The playing staff have been very poor this season all round, but Vaughan is the only one out of the lot of them that I have confidence in to score goals.

We knew what we were getting with Vaughan from the off - a good player who was never going to complete a full season because of his knees. He's scored some important goals for us and his presence seems to lift those around him.

I'd go as far to say that if he was cheap enough, i.e pay as you play, I'd make his deal permanent. He is exactly the level of player we should be aiming at if we want to stay at this level and push on.

It would seem most have had enough of Beckford..
Vaughan on the other hand.. when he plays, It's just that we need him playing every game now.
Is he up for it !
I think his own head says YES. his legs moan no !
Just keep pumping him full of Kryptonite till seasons end.
8 games to go.
he can do it

I completely agree with Beckford, he is the biggest insult to our wage bill since George Donis.

Vaughan on the other hand has been our best player and the only one who always looks like he can compete at this level. Lets be honest if he wasnt injury prone he would be a lower PL player. He tries hard and seems to actually care which is increasingly rare. When we play decent balls to him he is a real threat.

I would sign him up in the summer just not on a long term deal, he is the best we have so is crazy not to on a short term deal.

I dont understand how a player ruins a career like Beckford has. He does have some natural talent and has scored some good goals but he is too lazy. If he worked harder he could again been a PL player but David Moyes saw through him quick enough and he is a good judge of character.

I think beckford wants to play, but just not for a struggling team..
He would like to start, get a goal or two and then "feel his hamstring etc"...come off to a round of applause and vegetate till next week..
he is one of those players that just think that 90 minutes is far too long..but he does not want to be on the bench as that will affect his "earning" potential for next season.. unfortunately he just hasn't played enough as a starter or sub and hasn't scored enough..
I forsee a pay cut of gargantuan proportions for beckford...

I agree 38, I suspect Beckford will be one of those players Sean Dyche was talking about who will have a rude awakening when they find out from their agents what offers are on the table.

I have never met the guy but I just have an image of him in and around the training ground with a pair of those rubbish Beats headphones around his neck (maybe not even plugged in to anything!) with diamond earings and other "bling", walking round saying hi to people and then going home to play FIFA!

I just imagine that he has been paid far too much for far too long for too little.. it must affect a lot of the players and their attitudes to the "job"..
if anyone gets paid far too much for not doing very much it would affect them.. Look at top bankers, they don't do much, make shocking judgements and still have the "front" to take whopping bonuses, it seems to remove all shame or responsibility from some people..
maybe all the "average footballers" ought to be made to watch beckham play, even now???
