Wanderers v Terriers LIVE match thread

Ok ok, it's a little early. But I'm going straight to the game from work later on. In fact if anyone fancies a beer before the game, post below and we will sort something out. THC?

Anyway the return fixture was one of the best away trips this season, thanks in no small part to the Transpennine Real Ale Trail I followed on the way home. A pint or more of real ale in every town on the train route home. Magic.

BWFC: Lonergan, Butterfield, Dawson, Knight, Alonso, Spearing, Pratley, Chung-Yong, Eagles, Ngog, Sordell

Subs: Bogdan, Ream, Mills, Medo, Vela, Odelusi, K Davies

Another 3 points and our fourth clean sheet in a row at home (all 1-0 as well). Nothing else really positive to take from the game.

Anyone who went got a summary of who played well etc.

Huddersfield were good value for a point. There could have been no complaints. They hit the woodwork in the first half, won about 8 corners in the 2nd, and we couldn't get the ball for ten minutes after our goal.

Having said that we wasted two or three really strong chances to make the game safe.

I am no fan of Sordell and although he won us the game, he ignored a simple two yard sideways pass to Ngog and went for the greedy option at one point, attempting to beat the defender with a trick when it was 3 v 3 on the edge of the box with all the defenders backing off.

I feel similar LH I respect his ability but doubt his attitude. Thanks for the summary. Was it a good atmosphere considering DF has/is building the Reebok to be a bit of a fortress after it being a lucky dip for so long.

Lonergan was fine apart from his kicking. Did well to prevent a Knight own goal.

Butterfield was OK but gave the ball away and got caught out of position mod way through the first half.

Great ten minute cameo from Medo.

Eagles getting sponsors' man of the match raised a few laughs around me.

If Ngog could finish he would be a £10m footballer. I love his close control, industry and work rate.

Just read this thread, my first in a while. True that about Toro Loco being a great value, award-winning Tempranillo from Aldi.
How are The Whites doing lately?

Overall thought we were poor. But another 1-0 home win. We seem to be able to scrap which is no bad thing in this division.

Medo was ace when he came on. Sordell did well to create the move leading to the goal. N'Gog didn't have his best game, not too amazed by Butterfield but is he match fit?

Speaking of fitness though, with both teams playing on Saturday too I think that may have had a bearing.

Anyway, we won. Brighton didn't. Bring on Saturday

Some thoughts:

First half hour only Spearing looked like he was bothered.

Lucky for us Danny Ward was trying too hard to score.

The first shot on target was Zat Knight's erm backpass that Lonegran did very well to get to.

Cheers to Huddersfield's number 5 for his funny comedy defending for the goal.

Sordell showed in breif glimpses the kind of thing he's capable of. Sadly these were brief.

David N'gog first half looked as if he was playing in a small childs legs. Second half he was better.

Butterfield was clever on the ball but I've seen faster queues of Old people in Tescos.

We're generally too slow to get to the ball and teams that know this knock it about us rapidly in midfield to much success.

Vital win and thats all that counts. Tough game this Saturday but with Brighton playing Leicester at the weekend its a real chance to get right in the mix
