Let's get this thing started!

C'mon then,

Let's get this site started - what shall we discuss?

How far the club has come in the last 10 years?

Some 'pie in the sky' transfer targets?

The impossible task of keeping Nicky Maynard interested?

The new stadium/redevelopment of Ashton Gate?

The demise of the 'blue few?

Hmmm, this all looks a little familiar?

Anyone bored of the Nicky Maynard to... stories yet?

My favourite is the Leicester one for £3m.

The trouble with the Nicky Maynard stories, is that it is now affecting my opinion of him as a bloke/person - which is stupid, as the rumours have nothing to do with him personally.

I hope he signs a decent contract, so that we get him for at least one more 'injury free' season, and if it does not work out, ie promotion, then we sell him on for a decent fee.

This does look familiar...

If Maynard does sign an improved deal then it'll at least ensure that, if someone does come in for him, BCFC won't get mugged off for fear of losing him for nothing at the end of the season. Here's hoping.

Surely he has still got a year of his current deal left,so we don't need to have a heart attack every time there is a rumour..

well ive seen loads of "rumours" saying hes close to a 2 year extension but stalling over a possible prem move

It would be nice, because it would mean that when he does go - it is probably a case of when rather than if - we'll get a fair price for him. I'd like to think we'll have another season of him leading the line but who knows.

OK Pie in the Sky
Messi - Villa - John Terry (just to give us something to talk about if football ever got boring) Christiano Renaldo - Steve Caulker - Lee Wallace (LB from Scotland my pal oop north over the border reckons he is class, he;s the one who said we screwed up with Hartley we should have tried to get Adams 2 years ago)
Demise of the Blue few - A few tears shed in my family as they sunk without trace brother follows them(God knows why, It might have been bad company in school he went to Monks Park)
