against Big Gub , Green. His press confererence yesterday will upset Green, being challenged on his football history and experience. Being reminded that he publicly stated that McCoist will have £10m to spend on players and Ally saying that he's looking forward to doing so. This will bring this relationship to a head and Green will have to be very careful if he wants anyone to renew their season tickets.
Well done Ally !!
At last Ally fights back.....

Ally needs to watch himself. He's hardly covered himself in glory this year. If Green wants to get rid of him, there are a lot of supporters who won't be that sorry to see him go (in terms of his managerial performance).

Speak for yourself ! Ally's problem was the lack of time and support from Green in the 8 days he had to buy players. I have more faith in McCoist than Green and believe that if Green got rid of him just now, he's suffer big time.

I've seen plenty of articles on here and various fan sites which have been critical of Ally so in not just speaking for myself. I just think he's been disappointing, even with the team he's got, it's still light years ahead of the other teams in the league, but has often looked no better (and sometimes worse) than the teams we play against.
All I'm saying is Green could tap into the frustrations that many have shown with Ally's management this season if he wanted to get rid of him.
He's already shown his ruthless and opportunistic streak with the sacking of Sandaza.

Green needs to stop being in the media every day. Whilst it is nice to be able to get a quote from the guy after the silence during the Craig Whyte shambles there can be too much of a "good" thing.
I would love to see him taking Whyte to court to prove once and for all that the guy is lying, if Green has been truthful over the past couple of days this should not be a problem.
As for McCoist, he's not daft. With this Whyte stuff in the news Green is on the back foot so there is no better time to come out and make sure he stays true to his (many) words.
Green is on record stating he plans to increase season ticket prices by 20%, he'll be lucky if he decides to go to war with Ally.

What you say is true Partick, but surely you'd concede the success of sacking McCoist would ride on who his replacement was?
If he brought in someone with no connection to Rangers many fans, myself included, would assume he is some yes man who would accept Green's picks for players. That won't sell season tickets and that is the money that will keep Rangers going for the next few years.

Definitely - Green would only have my backing to sack Ally if he had a plan to bring in a manager with a proven track record at bringing through youth players. I think that if Green is smart his plan should be to rely less on flinging money (which we dont have) at the team and more on development.
I mean what is the plan? Spend more money next year so our team is even more superior to those in our division? Then do it again next year? Then do it again in the SPL? FFS, the team we've got is still better (player by player) than the teams in Div 2.
But no, we need to spend even more money, to make sure we're even more superior to the teams we play...just to cover up the fact that McCoist is a dud manager.
It's just chequebook football and that's what got us in this mess in the first place. An arms race with Celtic.
I'm really coming to the conclusion that if all we are gonna do is buy titles then I'm not interested anymore.

To date , Green has fallen out with Murray( Chairman), sacked the 2nd team coach, had the physio walk out, sacked Sandaza,"sacked" the chief scout, severly critized the team, mouthed off about moving to England ( weekly) and , at the weekend , said that the players were queuing up to punch him !! The guys loving the publicity and the limelight but his management skills are shxt. McCoist is defending the players as he should and I wait with baited breathe to see what happens in September cos if he runs to form Green will try and impose players suugested by his crooked cronies like Stretford etc.
