After listening to radio leeds there seems to be a feeling the Town fans are a tad fickle...or to put it bluntly, too quick to get on the backs of the players. This has been mentioned a few times, by other team managers, commentators and now tonight on the radio.
What a sheet reputation to have.
It was even said, if we're not 3-0 after half an hour on Saturday we'll be booing and jearing our own players (an exageration but you get the drift).
Is this justified ?
can anything be done about it ?
Stigmatised...

i think clark has been, and still is looking for a striker..this may or may not come off..
the picture is now very clear for lee clark and his staff, he has not had an extension to his contract, the final year is just what it says, the final year with a rolling contract after that.. should we win the league by miles then it can always be renegotiated and probably will be..
the sticking points we have are the expensive deadwood and the other "squad" players we cant get shut of.. im amazed that a 2nd div team hasnt come in for nathan clark and that joey is still with us... simpson was a poor buy from the start and it appears nobody wants him..
the loan market is now probably the only option lc has left and i really dont know enough about premier reserve teams to be putting any names forward.. i knew very little about afobe before he came but we almost wasted all his abilities in the end..
i dont think we are witholding money for any future change in management i just think that the options available by way of strikers is limited... 600k plus for cody macdonald is a daft price, he is 24, they dont want him and it appears no one is willing to take the chance... im not sure a loan for a player of his age is appropriate, he has had long enough to make his mark and for clubs to be interested...if they half it, then town could take a pop with him..

afobe would do nicely for me terrier..
then play to his strengths and the teams, which this season ,given the squad isnt kick and chase..
its more running at the opposition with pace and purpose and closing them in their own half..

I've said it for a while now 38, we brought in a brilliant football and then refused to play football! He still did a brilliant job though and only a small minority think of him for his few missed chances rather than his brilliant away performances up top alone and his work which allowed Rhodes to poach at home...
Given that this season we look as though we will actually attempt to play football, he's be perfect and would tear pretty much every team we come up against a new one. If I were Clark I'd be doing everything in my power to proves to Mr Wenger that the lad could do with one more season with us!

terrier..
the way arsenal are p-ssing about in the transfer market, afobe could well be playing for them or at least be first alternative..
if they pick up a couple of strikers in the last couple of weeks he might be available..
apart from ings i just cant think of anyone who we could afford/be genuinely in the market for on a permanent basis???

I've said the same thing, had we been in a better position we would have had a realistic chance of tempting someone like Hoskins or Ings but Hoskins went to the better option Brighton and Ings I imagine would cost us too much money now.

38. As regards to Nathan, he had a chance at Colchester while on a long loan there to 'showcase' himself. Whatever happened there no one is interested, not even Colchester.
From what I saw on the FL Show highlights, he was his usual self...absent or behind play and tripping fwds up giving penalties/free kicks etc as he tried to recover his position.
He has never really found a high enough level of performance on a consistent basis for me, seemingly reacting late instead of reading play and anticipating.
Shame really, maybe Halifax or somebody will give him a go.
