Didn't see Madrid's game last night but looking at the BBC report it seems that Madrid don't have a sponsor on their shirt:

Anyone know why? Has the Bwin deal ended?

If the majority of fans are Muslim then it makes sense that Madrid would be respectful by removing the advert, especially as it was at Galatasaray. Doubt they did it for the first leg.

i remember we had to cover up the carling on our shirts against lyon in france, something to do with them not wanting to advertise alcohol on football tops if i remember correctly.i would imagine the turkish don't allow gambling to be advertised

there's a tv program about it on the 'channel 5' of turkey and there are regular betting stuff in sports newspapers

Most Muslims I have known have drunk, that is a very small pool and all the ones I have known have been young men (18-23)
These are usually people born and breed in Britain though, one guy I knew was a Palestinian actually from the middle east and he didn't drink at all...

I think gambling/alcohol ads aren't allowed
Like alcohol ads aren't allowed in France
