As for the Madrid- Dortmund game think it will depend on how Dortmund turn up.On their day they can beat Madrid as they showed during the group games.

Dortmund vastly overrated. Lots of flair but can see them bottling it at the end. That said all four teams have looked shaky at one point. For me Real will win it.

Bayern will chock as usual, I am sure.

I feel same, don't understand how much some people cream over that team.

Dortmund lack the all round quality imo. Weakest of the four teams in the semis without a doubt, much as I would like them to win via a process of elimination and not liking the other three clubs.
I really like Lewandowski, think he's class. Hummels is also very good, as is Reus, and then others like Götze and Gundongan are very good players but just a cut below imo. Rest of their teams isn't too great for me.

When it comes to playing Semi, I think one opponent shouldn't decide the faith to progress in final. I think there should be mini league consisting of 4 semi finalist teams, they will play home and away games against 3 other teams, meaning 6 more games. The team which stand first wins the cup.
Malaga had 3 bad minutes and they were out no second chance. League system will give good fair chances to all teams.

Or go in the other direction and have one match at a neutral venue.

Once again Barca get the 2nd leg at home
---
As for all but one knockout tie since 2009/10 season (although last 16 doesn't count as that's based on group stage performance). They did play away in the second legs to Bayern and Chelsea in 2008/09 and United in 2008 though.
Why would they stop doing the quarter and semi final draw at the same time if it wasn't to manipulate the draw for the semi final?
---
Could also be the added expectation and increased revenue from an extra televised draw.
Based on this season's European form and head-to-heads etc., I think both German sides have the slight edge. Barça will only stand a chance if they can press like a couple of years back, but that's not impossible over just two games providing their fired up enough; R.Madrid will need to execute their game plan against Dortmund much better than in the group stages, but they have the precedent of being mauled twice in the GS by Bayern in 99/00 and then knocking them out in the semis.
