Thoughts from today's game

Good morning/afternoon/evening fellow Gooners wherever you may be! Just a couple of thoughts from today's game. I know it was Jack's first game back for 6 weeks, but we seemed to kick on once he was taken off. I love Jack and I know he's been out for awhile, but he was clearly laboring today. Gervinho was Gervinho. I don't know what else to say? He looks good as he goes streaking into the box, but then he loses his head. It's almost like he realizes where the heck he is all of a sudden, and then he panics. I like Gervinho, but I don't know if I have ever watched a more frustrating player in my life.

Speaking of frustrating, how many times has Gibbs given up a free kick that has been turned into a goal by the opposition? It's almost like he has to have one foul in a dangerous area per game. I would've preferred to see Nacho out there today over him. Gibbs has the potential, but Nacho is the finished product. Why would you chop and change your back 4 when they've been playing so well? Mert was already out, so why drop your LB as well? Good to see Ox driving into the box to set up the winner. He seems to be rounding back into form. Yet another good game from Ramsey. He's becoming somewhat of a poor man's version of the Romford Pele! You can plug him in at central mid or right back, and he'll put in a shift. Give him credit for forcing the corner that resulted in the pen.

In regards to the pen, it was a penalty. I hate when the pundits say, "There's no way that should be given in the area, but it would be a foul anywhere else on the pitch." Pushing and shoving and shirt tugging happen all the time in the box, and the only way to clean it up is to call it! Third place for at least a week isn't too shabby for a team that was left for dead at the beginning of March. Like I've said though, Arsene needs to go. The Prem is a shadow of what it used to be, and we're still only 3rd. We were also dumped out of the domestic cups by 2 lower league sides, and we still consistently get beat by the same things. If he does stay, he needs to spend some money! Who am I kididng..... COYG!
