Dear Chris Foy

Thank you for managing to ruin both my afternoon and in the process put another nail in the coffin of Chelsea’s miserable season. I realize that a generous and understanding fan could perhaps excuse your blatant failure to enforce the rules of the game due to your advanced age and clearly diminished eyesight.

Perhaps in your position any of us might have missed Aguero’s karate stamp on Luiz, or indeed the indecent assault from Kompany on Torres as we drifted off into a senility created dementia. Perhaps you were simply suffering flashbacks from the war when those incidents occurred, ducking buzzbombs and mentally shaking your fist at old uncle Adolf when you should have been officiating one of the biggest days in the English club calendar.

But I will say this Mr Foy: Crazy, blind, senile old man you may be,

On a serious note While Foy has a history of being a terrible ref for us
he surprisingly just let the game play on very physical. As I was watching, I began thinking of basketball games where the refs refuse the call fouls in order to keep the flow of the game going on.

I have nothing to back up my suggestion that Foy was told not to influence the game. It just seemed curious that the guy who called the QPR debacle a season ago, would oversee a more physical game and blow the whistle less.
