Welcome to the official match thread for Huddersfield Town versus Millwall on Saturday 20th April 2013, k/o 12:30pm
This thread is brought to you in association with Prozac, official anti-depressant of the npower Championship.
Huddersfield Town play host to Millwall this coming Saturday following 7 days of mixed emotion. A heroic 3-1 victory at Molyneaux last Saturday afternoon put everyone on a high and got us all believing we could get something at Ewood Park on Tuesday....
Alas, this is Town, and we're almost too predictable. Former golden boy Jordan Rhodes would score the only goal in a dull game, whilst those around us at the foot of the table picked up their customary point or three.
In contrast, Millwall spent Saturday being soundly beaten by our cup conquerors Wigan Athletic, before recovering to pick up three impressive points at home to Watford in midweek.
Kenny Jackett's Lions currently lie in 16th place with 55 points, four in front of Town but with 2 games in hand.
This is usually the part where I give a little bit of history about our visitors but its a bit hard to do that with Millwall without giving their majority element another bit of the spotlight....so let's just move right on.
Head-to-Head
Overall:
Town: 14
Millwall: 17
Draws: 5
At Huddersfield:
Town: 11
Millwall: 5
Draw: 2
Last Home Meeting
League One Play-off Semi Final 1st Leg
Saturday 15th May 2010
Huddersfield Town 0 Millwall 0
Current Form (past 6 matches)
Town: W2 D1 L3
Millwall: W3 D2 L1
Prediction
It's crunch time. No more f-cking about. Time to roll up our socks, dig in and try and register nine more points before the end of the season.
It starts here, and having seen our home record with Millwall I feel encouraged. A good start will be essential to lift the spirits of the team and the fans.....are we capable?!
I'm going to go for a 2-0 Town win, and further predict that Hydy will not shave until we're mathematically safe.....
*apologies for lack of length (.......it's genetic )

Jacko, can't really call Halifax a football town. The Rugby League get way more bodies through the turnstiles and coverage in the local press.
We're a Rugby town and always will be

Fair comment Novak, I just have a soft spot for little FC Halifax,,,,
I hope they win the play-offs and get back into the BSB Premier league anyway...although Guiseley look to be favourites there.
It still amazes me though how Bournemouth have got promoted to the Championship...when you consider how much money Town had, and our relative support and how long it took us to get up...then Bournemouth who have no money as such, small crowds....no big name players as such....?

No big teams in League One this year Jacko, yes Sheff United & Coventry, but they have been relatively poor, Yeovil in the top 6, Tranmere on top for months. Recently League One has had L99ds, Leicester, Norwich, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton. arlton, Town, our points tally from 2010-11 (87) would have seen us as League One Champions this year, only my own thoughts.
