Cutting season ticket prices by £100 for next season A sensible move. But it is clearly reflects the struggle to get bums on seats at football grounds. And says it all if Celtic, of all teams, have to do this. They are in the fortunate position of being able to afford this.
But it is a reflection of the parlous state of Scottish football and an example which few other clubs could follow this sensible example.
Only last week Aberdeen have decided to close the upper tier of one of their stands.
Choppy waters shad for HMS Scottish Football. Celtic deserve credit for this. But it is clearly a measure enforced upon them rather than a "reward" to fans.
