Nyatanga 90th - VAUGHAN 2nd, 13th, 64th.
half time 0-2.

25 quid in the Wedlock stand for TOWN fans,
capacity 5,500, It goes on to say...
'There are a good few supporting pillars, but the low roof helps create a lot of noise - provided there's a good away following'
You don't say !
Right. we've established what we are dealing with & where you all need to be at 3-o-clock on Saturday afternoon.
There is only one intention for the day, And that is a Win at all costs formula required from the TOWN team. NOTHING else will do.
Bristol are already relegated, but showed they will be no push over by managing a 0-0 draw away at AutoProMo chasing Hull City last weekend.
Their last 8 games as follows.
Won 1. drawn 2. Lost 5. = 5pts.
they sit in 23rd position on current form over the last 8 games.
Their last home game was a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City.
Overall, they are bottom on 41 points.
This game could prove to be interesting right to the final whistle ?
Both sides concede heavily in the last 15 minutes of most games !
At Home. Bristol have let in 12 goals during that late period.
Town fair little better, Conceding 11 in away games during that same last 15 minute period.
DON'T LEAVE BEFORE THE END ! You have been warned.
As if this fixture wasn't nail biting enough.
TOWN last 8 aways.
Not brilliant by any stretch. But better than Bristol at home.
won 3. drawn 1. lost 4. = 10 pts.
that would see us 15th on last 8 current form !
Who to watch out for..
Top scorer is Davies on 13.
Baldock .........................10
Adomah............................7
Davies might be tempted to retaliate ! he has 6 at the moment !
OK, we've covered goals scored against.
How about goals for..
Bristol are more likely to bang one in during that same last 15 minute period ! At Home, they have put 10 goals in late on in the game !
note to the TOWN defense... Full on lock out right up untill the end.
Town away from home are more likely to score during the 15 minutes just after half time, but 5 goals in that time slot is our best stat ! Not great is it.
But regardless, It's come to this time of the season when none of the above really matters one way or the other.
We find ourselves in the dubious position of having to win.
We can debate whether Bristol already being relegated is a positive or a negative.. Will they fight tooth & nail, or play out a mediocre, drab fixture, resigned to their fate ?
No they won't.
Who will start for TOWN.
Will Robins go all out attack !
Can we carry on with another workman like performance like last week against Millwall, or will it be another lack lustre showing, inadequate like the visit to Ewood a few days before ?
That has the been the most frustrating aspect of TOWN's performances this season..
Inconsistency.
Darn's match plan
Start with Vaughan & Beckford, with Scannell & .....HUNT out wide !
I'm not interested in the lad ever playing fullback ever again for TOWN,
Let him off the leash, he's a winger, end of.
As early as 50/55 minutes in, I'd have Novak on to run & run & run,
He'll be very effective against a tired defense, Hopefully Beckford will have done 'his' damage by them & be Bug Argh'd anyway. Lee on for Vaughan as he fades towards the end.
O'Driscoll can have what ever tactics he likes in place for me, If we attack... and keep at 'em, We'll win.
One final cry....
"Set 'em alight ....The BLUE & WHITE"
Bristol City 1-3 Huddersfield Town

out of the blocks at some speed darn...
Vaughan and novak..with scannell buzzing about and clayton just collecting loose stuff of their back 4 and playing it forward quickly..
towns strengths.....keep it a long way from our penalty box and we are not a bad side..
woods and hunt managed to get involved a bit further up adding to the "pressure" on the ball and our free kicks were much better than they have been..
their goal at the end makes no difference given our shocking goal difference but it does show that even in a match where the opposition were never actually "in it" they will still get opportunities and may well score...
like I said before the game Bristol will score...Barnsley will also score and its therefore pointless town trying to keep it tight or any other such stupid approach...
Hull didn't try to get anyone forward yesterday, which is mystifying when you are playing a team that "has" to win the game, there has to be spaces left by them and you "must" be able to make opportunities to score????
Same on Saturday, Barnsley have to push on, they have to win and its bound to leave gaps for us, lets hope robins and the team are "brave" enough to let our goal scorers stay upfield to take those opportunities...???
millwall to get a draw on Tuesday and then lose at derby..
posh to draw at palace..
wolves to draw at brighton..
Wednesday to draw with boro..
We might be over "egging" our importance on the final day???

Bookies are usually right, so I bloody hope so now..
Town were 36/1 to get relegated at paddy Power this morning.....So I stuck a tenner on it...This will now guarantee Towns survival in the Championship....I've not won a bet since REDRUM won his 3rd National..

if wendies turn in another "very poor sunday league side" performance like yesterdays then they wont get anything against boro..
they had no gameplan and no "ideas" and a keeper and two centre backs that make ours look "cultured"...
Madine came onto a pitch where he "obviously" didn't want to be and steve howard is very much "past it"..
In front of 20 odd thousand p-ssed off wendies supporters on Saturday its going to be hard for them to "up it".... Boro looked like they had got their "sh-t" together in the second half against a very "in form" Charlton...
Whatever the score on Tuesday night palace will want to try and get the away leg first and will want to avoid Watford (they cant work on the principle of hull not doing just enough and Watford going up auto)..
Watford and Brighton are the ones to avoid if you can in the play off semis.. Both are just as dangerous away as at home and 2 legs just gives them an added 90 minutes to d-ck you...
If anyone was worried about how clubs already safe in the league or safe in the play offs would react, I give you Brighton at le-ds and Ipswich at home. Ipswich playing with no fear trampled Birmingham and brighton playing for an away leg first battled like hell at elland road..
5 games left including Tuesday night that all have to go against us...???
yesterday , 4 went against us and 3 went for us..
Like I said we may not be the most important "result"...in the bigger scheme of things..

38 Leeds and and Birmingham didn't have anything to play for yesterday tho ?

Myth, for Town to be relegated, Millwall, Wendies, Barnsley and Posh would have to win...you can get 70/1 on that with SkyBet.
I'm going to wait 'til after Tuesdays' game then look at the odds..if Millwall still need to win on Saturday I'm having £20 on them all to win...While £1,400 wouldn't take the pain of relegation away, it would soften the blow.......

We need a draw on Tuesday that will leave palace with something to play for on saterday and will also leave milwall needing a bit to do on saterday too .

My week is going to consist of glossing the woodwork I sanded all last week!!!
Good trip down, helluva match, atmosphere amazing, good journey home.
Same team as yesterday for me next weekend.
Town need to tell WYP to man up, and if Deano, Clibbins and Co want a cracking atmosphere, sink the pink and start advertising Tuesday that its a tenner for adults and a fiver for kids!
No flags, clackers or vuvuzealas just a full house and a balls out atmosphere.
Bounce around if you love the town......
