Heineken & Amlin Predictions

OK folks, its 2 for the right result, 1 point for being accurate to +/- 5 pts or less, 1 pt for being the closest predictor and 1 for getting all four outcomes right

Perpignan - Stade Francais
I don't know an awful lot about the current state of both of these sides, but this could be a classic game if Perpignan - Toulon of a few years ago is anything to go by. I just think the home side will tend to edge it and I'll go for Perpignan by 5

SARS - Perpignan by 5

Leinster - Biarritz
You'd usually fancy Leinster in this sort of game, especially at home but they haven't seemed themselves this year and Biarritz were very very good away at Gloucester. Nonetheless I think Leinster will hold it together better than Gloucester did and won't given away as many chances, I think it will be closer than they expect but I'll go for Leinster by 4

SARS - Leinster by 4

Clermont Auvergne - Munster
Perhaps teh most easily forecastable one here, Clermont whilst not fully at home have looked invincible and I just think Munster have had their day in teh sun this year against Harlequins and that Clermont's all round game will be too much for Munster. Interesting that Clermont are holding their "home" semi on the ground of the side they beat in the Quarters - talk about rubbing salt into the wound!

SARS - Clermont by 10

Saracens - Toulon
A case of saving the best til last, and could this be the last English participation in the Heineken Cup for quite some time with the clubs due to leave at the seasons end? Saracens are in very strong form, as are Toulon, neither side have been beyond this stage yet and both will have players very familiar with Twickenham. Whilst both sides have been criticised for rather uncreative rugby, they can open up sides on occasion and I think this one will be very close to call. I just think Toulon might be slightly more fresh and have ever so slightly older and wiser heads

SARS - Toulon by 2

What do you think?

Hey SARS,

I missed last nights game so will look it up in a minute.

Leinster - Biarritz
I think home advantage will be enough for Leinster who look decent again.

Leinster by 5

Clermont Auvergne - Munster
Got to go for Clermont by a few. Munster will try to keep it tight but the power of Clermont can overcome that.
Clermont by 10

Saracens - Toulon
Interesting one this, Sarries have impressed me lately whilst Toulon keep getting it done as well. I'll probably go for Sarries by 3 but wouldnt be shocked if Toulon's stars pull out the win

Cheers

Anyone watching the game? Brilliant try

I'm pretty alarmed by some of the colours O'Connell's head is turning, all shades of purple, red, pink, white and violet, is he part chameleon or something?

He has been described as a purple headed warrior before

Leinster were ruthless. Munster tried for their usual heroic grandstand finish but just didnt have it this time.

Looking forward to tomorrow now
