I don't get this to be honest. Why are we not signing players who either have experience of the division we are in or at least have experience of the British game. To take that further I want youngsters to get their chance, our club would be the better for our youngsters having 100 or so games under their belts when they get to the SPL.

I agree.....another foreigner with no experience of our football, or our country, just holding back the development of our own Murray Park-raised defenders.

Unless he turns out to be brilliant, in which case we can sell him on in a few years time as a 28/29 year old central defender with experience of our game, still able to command a decent fee. However, judging by his playing profile, he is very unlikely to be brilliant, unable to get a game for a Mexican side we haven't heard of, and presumably not having achieved much at that Portuguese second division side either - another Cribari, whose unsuitability for a central defensive role will become more and more obvious with each division we climb

Fair enough to give the guy a chance, but I'm not hopeful. If we must buy in talent, surely there are some young Scottish defenders, currently playing part-time, in Divisions One or Two, who could do a decent job for us, and who would improve, increasing their sell-on value, with our full-time set-up
