Phew ! So here we are a Champeen club !
Not enamoured with little Alex so Pboro an interesting omission for next year. Been our nemesis in the past so fairy puff.
But the main agenda is "Fair Play Robinho ". Took over after the Jan transfer window and stuck with another managers team but he has got us over the line.
Now can't wait to see what Robinho can do with his own team, hoping he has Deano's FULL backing to alleviate us from the traumas of the last few weeks and have a good go at this division next year. Can you hear us Deano ???
New season, new start, take us forward Robinho !

You would hope that, as a fan himself, Dean realises that this squad will need investment if we're to avoid a repeat of this term.
Do we actually have much to spend though? The Rhodes money is constantly mentioned but with Blackburn only paying £4.99 per month via Direct Debit and £3.50 of that going on a pot of Sudocrem for Deano's saddle sores I'm not sure we've got much.
Time for Robins to be shrewd methinks.

Yes Champers, and Vaughan has been mentioned by Robinho in post match comments but not Becks !?!? So what to we make of that.
Would be interested to know how many full games these two have played vs no of games missed thru injury. For me it's Vaughan only, but can we keep him fit ?
Also is Novak out of contract now and do we want to keep him (given his assists for Vaughan of late I would say yes) ?
Interesting to see what the team will be next season, oh and can P Clarke still hack it / do we want him to ?

I asked Dean today @ canalside about Vaughan, his words were "depends if we stay up."
So ya never know folks.
I also said to Dean, "aye, I remember last year's bike ride and the crowd, I also remember Grayson clapping me in.......... Hope he's not here today"
He smiled and walked off! Must have thought I was a bit mental

Well, I think whatever Norwich want for Vaughan we should pay...within reason naturally. The first thing you think of with Vaughan is his injury record, yet I'm sure (without checking) he's played more than 35 games this season including cup ties which isn't bad at all really.
Also, for a loan signing, he has actually shown real desire for the cause. Sometimes you get short-term loans trying their hearts out, knowing that a good month may earn them the contract they want. Vaughan however has delivered good performances throughout the season. Obviously this has alerted the attention of others, namely Derby, but if the money is there I reckon he would stay with us. A priority signing in my opinion. The thought of playing against him fills me with dread.
Beckford....no, I don't think so. An invaluable contribution but at a reported £20,000 per week we needed this and more. He's a luxury player and I don't think we're in the right position right now to take that gamble. I will always be thankful for the goals he scored to help lead us to safety but its thanks but no thanks from me.
Novak...hmmm. I don't know. He's looked out of his depth most of this season but I would maybe give him another year. He's a decent bench option because of his willingness to chase anything. However...if the money IS there for anyone better then maybe for the sake of his career he should move on.
Peter Clarke. Time for the skipper to go for me. Another error that led to a goal today and a look at our goal difference suggests we must make immediate improvements in that area. He's committed and would throw himself in front of the 503 bus to save a goal, but at this level that's not enough. He's given us good service for the past few years but he's a good league 1 player, nothing more. Time for a change.

being a warrior and giving it your all simply isn't enough at championship and above level..
sorry...you are either good enough or your not..
players who can read the game well and have decent quality on the ball can survive and prosper and play for years..
clarkie isn't one of them..both o grady and dagnall were too "strong" too "quick" and in dagnalls case far too mentally sharp for him..
this is a team that was below us!!!!!
I couldn't count how many balls were slid into our box from just outside it today and not once were Barnsley offside?????
the wiggly line with clark and gerard miles behind everyone is a disaster waiting to happen and it did..
the first goal, clark got "done" by o grady, just a sharp nudge as the ball was being played, clark was too close too him, that's all..clark was too deep again..
You look all season for his realisation that he is bringing the problems on himself and us but it never happened..
being frightened of pace is one thing, letting it totally run your game is another..
dozens of easy goals conceded this year, that has to stop.. we will concede, we know that but at least lets make it hard for opponents to score..
putting Vaughan and beckford up front wont make enough difference if we continue to let in cr-p goals at some rate..

Hunt was also at fault for a lot that went wrong today , but again 38 you seem to ignore how bad hunt is and let him off . Hunt is our weak link not Clarke .went will you see that and how can't you see that ????

I'll say it again. Jack Hunt will NEVER be a good out and out full back. All of his strengths point to him being better suited to being a winger.
Sadly I think nobody that matters is ever going to notice this and his career will just stall. Sad really.

Hunt was left in no mans land for both there goals , have a look on the FBLS tonight 38

Clarke to go
Novak to stay
Beckford to go
Vaughan to stay
Arfield to go
Norwood to stay
That's three players not wearing the Town shirt next season. Who will Robins bring in? Roll on next season, I've a great feeling about this one! 👍😉
