The betting sites on Scottish Islands have gone into meltdown with an unspecified large bet for the present Ipswich manager.

Cyp

Coppell/Coyle for me. Whether that's Coppell as DoF and Coyle as manager, or just one or t'other, I really don't care.

Don't really know anything about Micky Adams, is he any good?

I understand your point U17339 but on balance I think it's the right decision. Until the vacancy is actually there you don't know who is interested - and we as fans will probably never be told.

Plus I dont accept the view that our recent record will put off people applying. Jobs as football club manager is a restricted market with far more applicants than jobs available - especially for a club of Wolves size and potential.

Kenny Jackett just resigned ?????

I would feel a lot better if a DOF was bought in NOW, before a decision on a new manager was made.

Wolfgang, you've already got a de facto DOF - Kevin Thelwell.
Working with the board, he's been put in charge of recruiting the next manager.
Cancel your holiday plans, Kev.

thelwell isn't strict speaking a DOF at wolves. his role was meant to be developing young players and helping with recruitment to the squad. i'm not sure he has the experience or knowledge to have a more overarching role just yet...altho that still makes him more suitable than morgan and moxey put together.

i'd still like us to bring in someone with real seniority on the board who can help make these key decisions. the prospect of another of morgan's appointments based on a scouse mate he plays golf with doesn't inspire me with confidence.
