Cavani: why we need him to come

Having a quality striker that scores early and often is imperative to achieving our aims for next season, or at least having them be relatively feasible instead of being pipe dreams . With fans clamoring for Mourinho to come back, any shortcoming will leave us with egg on our faces .

Torres, despite premature claims of his impending resurgence, has constantly misfired during his time at Chelsea. This makes me question how his finishing will be at the climactic moment . Can we trust him to keep it together or will he leave us high and dry ? Who knows. We might be able to but I'm not holding my breath. Also, stop blaming our build up and ball movement and saying it's because we're not getting it up to him.

Lukaku has stuck one in the back of the net quite a few times for a young lad but this is a twenty year old who has only displayed one good season so far. Granted he's driven, ambitious, and endowed with plenty of ability but it might be better to have someone more experienced leading the line, especially if we find ourselves with our pants down as is our wont. In addition, if he doesn't perform I fear we will be too hard on him.

Demba Demba Demba Ba, also known as the D-Train , has had a good couple of stabs at goal since joining us, one or two of them being quite slick . He definitely has different strengths than Torres, but unfortunately being reliable goal machine isn't one of them as I don't think he can reproduce the same scoring form and keep it up for that long, especially over the entirety of a season.

So where does that leave us currently? We have a bleached-haired Spaniard, a twenty year old, and a fellow who guzzles strawberry syrup. Not quite the most inspiring of options to head up our attack.

While our need for a striker is quite clear who would best fill the hole we currently have, in terms of ability as well as availability, is not. Lewandowski seems to have his heart set on joining the Bavarians. Falcao's seems to have many suitors and as he is at the higher end of the age spectrum, getting into a bidding war for his services doesn't seem ideal. Gomez, Shrek, and Higuain all seem like lumps .

That leaves Cavani: young enough to splurge on , good enough to make it worth putting out , and possibly open to our advances . Come, Cavani, and suckle the milk of success from Roman's teat.

Why is Lukaku suddenly a monster?

Ba's scoring record outside of Chelsea has been consistently good even at PL level.

We only need two out an out strikers for the one position we have available, and Cavani with Ba will suffice.

Lukaku needs another loan move, still young, and one bad month at Chelsea will end his career at Chelsea. Watching him in full games some of his touches still let him down, and at Chelsea no way in hell will he get the amount of time and space as he does at WBA, so instead of jumping on the bandwagon about Lukaku because of the highlights on MOTD, we should let him develop time is on his side.

Torres like I said can feck off.

Moses and Schrulle for emergency strike cover just like how Kalou was, as both have had some experience of playing upfront.

Lukaku is the same at WBA he has the ball lumped up to him on many occasions . If anything Ba's link up and hold up play is better than Lukaku's right now.

It will be down to Mourinho and a striker who works like Ba does in the air and with other strikers will thrive. Torres is a dead man, beings nothing to the team if he is not scoring.

Cavani and Ba as striker

Moses and Schurulle as winger/striker cover

Lukaku on loan

Torres can feck off

That would be perfect
