Marouane Fellaini insists his "destiny with Everton" amid Manchester United transfer talk
Midfielder also linked with Chelsea says manager Moyes' move to Old Trafford "does not change anything for me"
Roberto Martinez has been boosted as he prepares to take over as Everton manager by Marouane Fellaini committing his future to the club.
Midfield colossus Fellaini has tried to allay the concerns of Evertonians, who fear he may follow outgoing Toffees boss David Moyes to Manchester United by insisting he wants to stay.
“My destiny is with Everton, it’s as simple as that," said the Belgium international, who has been linked with a summer move to United or Chelsea. “After that, you never know what can happen, but we still speak of one of the greatest English clubs.
“The framework and the basics are there. It is in this sense that I mean the departure of the coach does not change anything for me.
“Despite everything he has done for the club, we always have enough quality to continue to shine.
“Honestly, the departure of the coach does not change. He received a good challenge and I understand that he has accepted.
“But he never told me about his project to take me with him to United. It is only in the press that I read it."

Don't think he is overated. He gives us such a hard time and in some games has beaten us pretty much single handed. In fact he gives many of the top teams such a hard time. For a big guy he is also very good with the ball at his feet.
However I don't know if he would suit united

By Sep 1st Fellaini will not be at Everton I'm sure of that. He's not going to come out and ask for a transfer as it will probably means he gets no cut of the transfer fee or has to waive certain bonuses etc.
Bottom line is there is a release clause in his contract. If someone bids the release clause Everton are powerless to keep him. Then it's up to Fellaini. If United or anyone else offers him say £110k per week and CL football he will be gone. He's just making sure that he's not seen as the one who asked to leave which allows him to leave on fairly good terms.

I don't like the way he's been quoted at all. It can be very misleading when you take a few words out of obviously longer sentences

Tbh I didn't want this guy but I think he'd be great in a midfield 5
Imagine Carrick, Fellaini and fabregas (wishful) as our 3 CMs. Carrick would be the deep lying playmaker linking defence and attack, Fellaini would provide steel and ahead of them, fabregas would be the creator.

Does anyone reckon these comments attributed to Fellaini are evidence of Stockholm Syndrome, brought on by the seasons of well paid cruel captivity at Everton?

Come on, people. We're turning into Super-Everton whether we like it or not. This guy is joining us.
