It play O'brian at 6 mate. that is is original position. He was converted to 7 out of necessity because Stephen Ferris is an out and out six. But O'Brian was far more at home at six before he converted. Also if we look at his overriding positives which is his ball carrying, 6 is more suited to him as he will see more of the ball in play as oppose to being a ground hog.

Sneak an extra man into the scrum, they'll never notice!

Hey!!! Speaking of the scrum. I rewatched the game but from FOX sports in OZ. (OZ commentary)
Now the style of commentary is naturally going to be different but it was the commentary of the scrum that surprised me.
The commentators, during every scrum, talked only about the bulk of the forwards. They mentioned several times the size of the props ··a.rses··
I'm being totally honest!
They never talked about any of the technical aspect of the scrum. The binding, the hit, the hands on the ground, popping up etc etc.
They were solely concerned with the size of legs and backsides.
Kind of gives you an insight into the style of game they play down there. Certainly they don't seem to be overly interested in that aspect of the game as all they do is jokes about backsides. At the very least it shows that they consider it almost an interval. This thought process has got to have been picked up for RL as its the vastly more popular sport downunder.

With idiots like Walsh killing the scrum with his zero reset policy I'm not surprised at all Ding.
The lions have probably the two best tightheads in the world combined with excellent looseheads of course they're going to be strong at scrummaging.
What's funny is Healy and Coles were clearly smaller and more athletic than the aussie props so their comments make no sense. Coles in particular scrummaged very well and had his opponent on toast

Do we have any Australians out there, or anyone caring to defend the SH point of view?
I think, and hope, Queensland will be more of a test and insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the squad
Anyway, who would your first XV be?
I'd go for
Corbisiero - Hibbard - Jones
--Gray-----O'Connell / Parling
Croft---Heaslip---Tipuric
---Youngs----Sexton
---Tuilagi---O'Driscoll--
North---Halfpenny--Bowe

Sheridan Hibbard Jones
Launchbury POC
Croft SOB Morgan
Youngs Sexton
BOD(c) Tuilagi
North Halfpenny Zebo
I would have Healy and Hartley but for injury. Granted two hotheads. Pretty even split, although no Scots 6 English, 5 Irish, 4 Welsh.

The feeling is that the Reds will provide the toughest test outside of the test games themselves. At least thats what the Ozzy commentators were saying on wednesday

BO'D as captain. Nothing like playing with a captain that smiles when you do something good. Fills you with Energy!
