PSG have contacted AVB's people

apparently about replacing Carlo, who looks set to join Real.

Rory Smith ‏@RorySmithTimes 1m
I am now reliably informed (as in have treble checked the Sky Italia story) that PSG have been in touch with AVB's people.

AVB has a 10m euro release clause in his contract apparently, which PSG will use their Ancelotti compensation to pay.

4th,

You're forgetting that Laudrup took on a club who had only been in the Premiership one season, and you're comparing his club against a club like Spurs who were a Top 4 side twice in their previous 3 seasons - obviously now just 5th.

However, by your theory AVB must be a better manager than Fergie, yet is worse than Martinez - how does that work?

4th,

I have said he is better based on his success

===============

What success?

And lets not compare apples with bananas here, lets compare them on a level footing, with how they have done with their respective clubs.

AVB took on a club who were the 4th best in the country, and took them to 5th best with no trophy.

Laudrup took a club from 11th best to 9th best, and bagged a trophy.

Comparing like-for like, you would have to say Laudrup had the better success with the target he had at the beginning of the season.

No question.

Do you really think it's as cut and dry as that though, Chicken? The above proves that Laudrup is a better manager? Surely not.

Roberts Martinez must be both rubbish and good at the same time then, given he won the fa cup yet got relegated the same year

Flashy flibble

Do you really think it's as cut and dry as that though

=================

Of course not. Its almost impossible to compare them. All i'm trying to do is defend my earlier comment of why i rate Laudrup.

But as always, posers like "4th" who appears to have changed his name to " Some will, some wont, so what, next" feel they have to challenge me on every little passing comment, whereby i simply give as best reasoning as i possibly can.

I mean, 4th thinks that simply being linked to another manager role is the basis to prove who is better than who. I prefer to use what i see with my own eyes and basic indications like i have used above.

But no, its not cut & dry - just an opinion.

LukaCorluka

Exactly.

And going by 4th's theory, AVB is tactically better than Fergie, yet worse than Martinez.

4th's comments are ones i would expect in the school playground to be honest. You know, the "we beat X team 2-0, you beat them 1-0, so that means we'll win 2-1"....

Some will,

So Chicken you think its easier to get a club from 4th to stay 4th or for a club to jump 2 places in the middle of the table?

=================

Why not? 5th to 3rd was 3pts difference, 10th to 8th was 3pts difference, 18th to 16th was 3pts difference, 12th to 10th was 3pt difference, so why should "staying 4th" be any more difficult than any of these scenarios?

Why do you think only these "difficult scenarios" apply to Spurs and only Spurs?
