I have decided to populate 'our' board with something to talk about over the long summer months. Let's review and rate the season of our players.
It all started so well for Stanno and I thought that we were so lucky to have the guy. He was absolutely fantastic for the first third of the season. Then it all seemed to go slightly downhill before his season was brought to a premature end by injury.
Good in the air, exceptionally quick on the deck and quite a physical player.
It will be good to see a fully fit Stanno back on the pitch as we did not get to see the best of him last season.

Like you say he was a very good player to begin with, but then injury came after injury and his performances became sporadic and not to the level he had started with. You can argue whether he was managed well and allowed to fully recover each time, or whether he was pushed back into action earlier than should have been the case, but a fully fit Stanton would be an absolute godsend to the team next season.
