Has F1 got to the stage now where time is irrelevant?
Should we go back to timing the cars with sun dials?
Should we have judges to mark the driving skill?
What is time?
who fancies a early lunch?

Time, is it running out?

Time is a funny old thing. It can be right or wrong depending on who is late for work. Some countries do not have a legal definition of time so workers can show up whenever they feel like.
In Canada, the legal definition of 60 seconds is a “Minute”, and 90 seconds is a “Vettel. The lap record for Canada was officially timed at 0.81 Vettels.
Time can also be won or lost. For example a race starting under safety car conditions hands an advantage in time to the pole sitter – this is know as time won. Red Flagging a race because of undrivable conditions can also give an advantage to the race leader as he might have crashed otherwise. Restarting the race again under a safety car again gives the race leader a clear advantage over all those behind him.
