TRS - adnan is the kind of guy who would have been in the squad and on the fringes of the national team if he was spanish

for england he isnt bulky or big enough

------------------------------------------------

Is this you writing him off already?

I have to say that I couldn't disagree more. He's only 18 and will still have some growing to do and for the U21s he showed that he's fully capable of handling the physical side of the English game when he came up against bigger and stronger opponents and he's certainly not afraid to throw himself about.

He's not cheap and he's not good !

Welbeck
Fabio
Januzaj
Lingard

TRS - no mate. I wish the likes of adnan were breaking through into the first team this season.

Not saying he is messi, but messi in england probably would have been working as a trolley boy in tesco due to height and physique

£13m whoever you are is not money you can easily throw around. Imagine the signings we could have bought had an extra £13m not been an issue.

Ah ok, didn't know where you were going with that.

RedReason - So true 30 years ago and still quite close to the truth, obsessed with lung power and physical strength. I even read that we doubted Thiago had the physicality to cope with the PL. If this is true it's absurd IMO.

------------------------------------------------------------

put that way I agree with you

in context though its a different story

how many players can you name who get first team action that were bought for less than £5m and get less than £40k a week playing for a top club

anyway fellas nice talking to you but gotta go

True but my point is £13m is £13m however you choose to spend it. The Buttner signing to me just seemed needles.

Of course, if we sell Buttner in the near future then it won't be £13m spent, but still I didn't really get the signing, but TBF that's nothing compared to our business with Bebe, WTF was that all about?

The youngsters i.e. Januzaj, Zaha and Lingard have no doubt stood out for most people but I think it's been a positive tour for Anderson, Cleverley, Fabio and Welbeck as well.

A new midfielder is still very much needed but I've been encouraged by both Anderson and Cleverley.
