Torquay 2 Brewers 2

This to me is a great point.
Positives have to be goals from Richards.
Would have gladly seetled for a point before kickoff.
Negative sending off of Parkes and myself being stuck in rainy Dublin.
Look forward to the comments of those that travelled.
Looking at the results from today i think Bristol Rovers & Swindon will have a large say in this league.
I think should the Brewers be lucky or good enough to finish higher than either then we will be promoted.

Absolutely excellent performance. I was really impressed with what I saw today. We attacked, we created chances, we played football. It was brilliant. We just didn't get the result we deserved. We will play worse and win. We look like a team who will score a lot of goals this season.

Everyone played brilliantly. It was so good to have a cutting edge again. Zola and Richards were really superb. Cleveland had a fantastic game too. Bolder and Macca bossed the midfield.

It is disappointing in a way because we could have buried them. 3 one on ones that we did not bury, 10 shots on target to their 4 and 56% possession. Yet when we went down to 10 men it was one of those games when you suddenly find yourself wanting the final whistle.

Perhaps the only disappointing performance was when Jimmy came on. True, Torquay were in the ascendancy then but he just did not get in the game.

Final word goes to our hosts. Major traffic congestion on the M5 led to a 5 hour drive to get to the game. Stationary in yet another jam I telephoned the club to see if the kick off was delayed. I figured that if the players, fans or officials were in the same traffic jam it would settle my impatience / frustration / anger if I heard that the kick off was delayed. I dialled all 7 numbers on their menu list numerous times in the space of 45 minutes....and each just rang out. It was about 1.30pm when I started. Well done Torquay - 0 out of 10 for customer service. Pathetic. Disgraceful. Amateurish.

Just got back from Torquay as I made a weekend of it with the family, a good weekend in all.The brewers played great team football, the best football in a long while and they have given me hope of a great season ahead. It was nice to see the other team scraping for a point instead of us. "come on you Brewers"
