Hello Lads,
I'd like to start by saying the reported value recieved for said player is a fantastic piece of business for Celtic " Round of Aplause"
I'd doubt many Southampton fans will know who he really is and what he is capable of.
My question to the Rangers support is:-
In terms of qaulity, use of ball possession, postional play and intelligence and so on, was he ever in the class of a, Giovanni Van Bronchorst?, Jorg Albertz?, Mikel Arteta?, Brahim Hemdani, Barry Ferguson, Pedro Mendes whom have all played for Rangers.
I'm not denying Wanyama's potential, but is he hyped up because of the sum of money exchanged and can Southampton expect also to perhaps make a profit on this player in a few years time also or will they be making a loss.
so to the Celtic fans i ask: - can you shed some light on Wanyama ability now and what player and level would you predict that he is able to achieve in the future.
And the question to Rangers fans is:-
Is Wanyama up there with some of the cracking midfielders we've had over the years and why???.
Victor Wanyama

Big deal ronaldinho was almost sent on loan to st mirren. In response to your original question wanyama just now is not on the same level as van bronkhorst who was a superb player but still has time to develop. Best of luck to him but only interested in who plays for us now. He is imo on a par with arteta and Albertz when they played for yous

Gio is still my favourite player, Laudrup apart, to have pulled on the blue shirt.
IMO, Wanyama, has the raw ability to succeed. He has the attributes of a modern ball winning midfielder, but he can be rash at times. (Although I never seen him last season, he might have cut that out)
