I am assuming we still need 'home grown' players and the loss of Barry and Sinclair having them replaced by foreign players would leave us close would it not? Fairly sure Giudetti counts as 'home grown' as registered before 21? Am I wrong?

bomdia - you don't have to have homegrown players; it is just the squad size has a maximum of 17 foreign players over the age of 21.
City currently have 11 foreign players over the age of 21 and 9 homegrown players, which include 2 players not born in England - Clichy and Boyata.
Guidetti is still 21 (hence not over 21), but I believe you are correct in assuming that he would count as homegrown once he reaches 22.
I can't be sure but I believe this will also be true of Lopes, Suarez and Nastasic x

Its 3 years before they turn 21 because I seem to remember a similar discussion on the old 606 about Mario. He would not count as a foreign player when signed but when he reached 22 he would because he hadn't got the required time in. I think Cliché has but not sure if Nasri did as well.... I think you need a slide rule calculator and hope the prem turn a blind eye tbh.

Nasri definitely judged to be a foreign player and not home grown - I checked him specifically x
