EUROFOOT 2013 under 19s youth tournament.

Great tounament for both teams youth set ups, with Spurs winning the 3rd-4th place play off and the mighty Hammers unlucky to end up as beaten finalists.

Oh and this is no Emirates Cup...

...West Ham Utd, Tottenham, Club Brugge, Valenciennes FC, AA Gent FC, Nordsjaelland, KV Oostende, Cercle Brugge, FC Utrecht , Standard Liege, RSC Anderlecht and SV Zulte-Waregem...

...all took part, so Spurs 3rd and West Ham 2nd are good results in a 12 club competition (not like finishing 3rd out of 4).

We were kept apart in the league section, West Ham won group "A" with Spurs (spoiler alert) despite not losing a game in open play all tournament coming 2nd in group "B", so an all England semi (don't snigger THudd, semi is not a rude word) was played.

Well the game ended 1-1 and went to penalties and then after one miss each to sudden death penalties, with Amos missing from the spot for Spurs and Cullen getting the decider for West Ham.

Oh and then (like we care) Spurs beat Anderlecht 2-0 to get 3rd, with the Hammers losing 1-0 to Nordsjaelland in the final.

So the good points for Spurs? Well the only open play goal they let in was in the semi against West Ham and the Spurs keeper Luke McGee was goalie of the tournament.

For West Ham? Well unlike Spurs they were free scoring but also leaked a fair few goals. Oh and Moses Makasi (West Ham) won the best player of the tournament award.

Good practice for the kids.

Can I just say that mcghee got injured against west ham hence them winning in penalties as conor ogilvie went in goal our defender!

Mcghee tries to go in goal but the ref would not allow it so fair play to mcghee.

look like

You can say that, but I will have to reply that he was injured trying to save the last penalty of the set 5 so I don't think it had a great deal of effect on the result. Also Cullens strike was pretty much unstoppable.

Thanks for the info buddy! You back at spurs mate? Think I saw on the other site that you were on holiday? Hope you had a nice time.

The ref nearly let Mcghee go in as well, until it was pointed out he had earlier been subbed off.

Well done to both the Spurs lads & the West Ham lads!

Just hope both clubs keep & develop these lads, as it is going to be expensive buying players going forward.
