Pep doesn't need him, just like he didn't need a certain Yaya Toure. Not saying they are same type and quality of player but that a player still can be both good AND surplus to requirements.

As much as I would love it, I don't see it happening. However the longer he stalls on his new contract, the longer doubt around his future will be there.
