I honestly despair for the future of football if this sort of nonsense continues....first Cardiff (The Bluebirds) are now told that they are suddenly Dragons and are red(!), now Hull are being changed from Hull City to Hull City Tigers (within the UK) and Hull Tigers internationally.
The changes have been brought in by owner Assem Allam because he doesn't like the word "City".....ah diddums! Nevermind that the name has been in place since 1904! So basically these 2 owners are saying "screw history and the local supporters" which makes me pretty sick.
Our football clubs in this country are not tacky American style franchises ffs! They are the original clubs that founded the game of football as we know it! I know they are the owners but this commercial tackiness is a bad sign of things to come.
I sit here wondering when our beloved club will be turned into something equally gash like the Tottenham Brave Spurs.....!

So do I, these foreign owners are ruining our great british game, with their stadium name changes and changing of club names now.

How about Tottenham's owners, who wanted to move the club from north London to east London (and they had their badge changed)? Again, that would have made great business sense.
It seems these name changes are aimed at the increasingly powerful and influential Asian football market. It would be interesting to see how Hull and Cardiff fare in 5 years' time.

Gazza - I couldn't disagree more. It's quite often the small details that divide teams and give them their identity, such as the colour of their kits. These colours can often be ingrained in the history of the town or city that a club comes from as well. The divide this creates between fans is not always healthy i.e. fighting between fans, but this is the essence of what sport and having teams is all about - to beat the opposition at all costs and the glory of the game!

I apologise for Gazza's little outburst. He seems to have escaped.
Gazza get back to where you belong and leave these nice people alone.
